Located in Turlock, California
Established in June 2024, Dust Bowl Distillery finds its home within the expansive Dust Bowl Brewing Company facility in Turlock, California. At the helm once again is Brewmaster, Don Oliver, who has been honing his distilling knowledge over the years.
The boutique distillery features a 140-liter Carl still. The system was enhanced by the addition of a Vodka column and Gin basket from Minnetonka Brewing Equipment. The configuration allows for a broad range of spirits to be produced.
As a nod to the company’s brand roots, Dust Bowl Distillery launched its portfolio with Original Moonshine. Crisp and clear, Original Moonshine is an 80 proof / 40% ABV spirit distilled from corn, malted barley and wheat.
The company first launched into cocktails with Moonshine slushies during the summer weather and shortly followed with a specially curated cocktail menu featuring Original Moonshine hand-crafted libations with only the freshest ingredients.
In December 2024, Dust Bowl Distillery began bottling Dry Gin and Gin, expanding the portfolio for the most discerning cocktail lovers. Crafted from scratch using a malted barley wash, Dry Gin is a traditional, juniper-forward gin with balanced floral, citrus, and spice notes. This classic profile makes it a versatile favorite for gin enthusiasts.
Our Gin recipe offers a vibrant, citrus-forward spirit infused with the bright flavors of lime, grapefruit, and orange. Together, these gins offer unique flavor profiles and a smooth 40% ABV / 80 proof. In 2025, Bourbon Whiskey joined the 750ml bottle offering.
The Moonshine family also grew in early 2025 with the much-anticipated release of Apple Pie Moonshine and Cinnamon Moonshine. PB&J joined the lineup soon after. At 60 proof, they are all very approachable.
In early 2026, Dust Bowl Distillery entered the RTD (Ready-to-Drink) canned cocktail market with the launch of Blackberry Lemonade and Pink Lemonade Moonshine Cocktails. Available in 12oz / 4pk cans, this portfolio expansion was the first of the Distillery’s to hit the broader retail market through our wholesale distribution network.
