This year we chose whiskey barrels and a few sweet potato liquor barrels to age several ales for our 11th Anniversary Blend. Great Impression, 10 Lizzy Scotch ale and Twisted Monk took a nap in the barrels and were recently blended to create a depth of malty goodness, a hint of cherries, and a mix of vanilla and coconut barrel notes.

The Double Brut IPA has a much drier finish than our classic IPAs as well as a higher carbonation level. You can still expect a big hop punch of grapefruit, guava, and passionfruit from the Galaxy, Columbus and Simcoe hops.
Originally a stout of British origin, this style of beer became popular with the Czarist Court in Russia. High hop levels and alcohol content, as well as large amounts of dark malts, allowed it to survive the journey to Russia and the surrounding regions. These qualities also make for a beer that ages well, providing layers of flavor that continue to develop over the years. A combination of chocolate, coffee and roasted malt flavors and aromas are complemented by an assertive bitterness from both dark malts and British hops.
