JOB DESCRIPTION

Packaging Operator I (Full-Time)

Summary

The Packaging Operator I performs packaging duties on the bottle, keg, and canning lines.  The position will also be required to assist in inventory management and cleaning of the production areas.

  • Load bottles and cans, pull bottles and cans, and pack cases of bottled and canned beer.
  • Clean and fill kegs.
  • Safely operate forklifts.
  • Operate and perform changeover on packaging equipment.
  • Assist in brewery cleanup.
  • Assist in inventory counts, organization, and staging of materials and goods.
  • Operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Physical Demands

The position will occasionally be required to work in the warehouse environment to facilitate shipment activities and assist with warehouse functions.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as required.
  • Must be able to maneuver 165 lb. kegs safely.
  • Must travel up and down 45 steps as required.
  • Must be able to use both hands and arms in full range of motion.
  • Must have good hand and eye coordination skills.
  • Must be able to work around moving equipment and hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be able to speak, hear and smell.
  • The employee is consistently required to walk, balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must always be able to lift and/or move 20 pounds and consistently lift and/or move 50 pounds. Employee must be able to work consistently in a standing position for long periods of time.

Host – Turlock


Summary

As Dust Bowl’s Host, you need to be a five-star greeter and seater. We’re looking for outgoing, friendly individuals who have great communication skills and can make an awesome first impression for Dust Bowl! You will also manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests and answer incoming phone calls.

Work Atmosphere

What’s better than going to work for a cool craft brewery?! Besides the great music selection, wearing jeans to work, and the occasional plus-one four-legged guests, this job operates in an otherwise professional, fast-paced restaurant environment. Work is indoor/outdoor in varying weather conditions and temperatures.

Essential Job Role

  • Warmly and graciously greet all guests immediately upon arrival.
  • Professional phone presentation, attending to high volume phone calls and transfers to personnel, and making reservations.
  • ID guests with Intellicheck Software when checking in at the BG Host Stand.
  • Run and deliver food and beer and take orders for guests’ food in the beer garden.
  • Accurate handling of cash and credit card payments for retail, take-out, to-go beer, and growler(s)/crowler(s).
  • Accommodate special seating requests for guest(s) whenever possible.
  • Seat guest(s) based on guest(s) preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations per SOP training.
  • When seating the guest, inform them of their server’s name. Inspect tables for proper presentation, arrangement, and completeness.
  • Spot sweep and check the floors, stock baskets, and bathroom cleaning rotations regularly during shift and various end-of-day cleaning duties.
  • Relay messages to servers, bussers, kitchen, and Managers as needed.
  • Happily, thank guests as they leave and invite them to return to Dust Bowl.
  • When there is downtime, you will bus tables, run food/drinks, dry trays, roll silverware, etc.
  • Complete your assigned side work, sweeping, and cleaning windows, stock baskets, and bathrooms.
  • Schedule all reservations using Resy.

Supervisory Responsibility

None! But teamwork is essential. There are a lot of moving parts and roles at the host stand.

Line Cook – Turlock


Known for our Okie Nachos and PB&J Burger, our kitchen is responsible for preparing food that pairs perfectly with our Award-Winning beer.  You would be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation of meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking; perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating, garnishing of cooked items, and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. This position operates indoors in a hot and/or humid environment, but don’t fret, we have fans and A/C plus great music to keep you jammin’ along your whole shift.

  • Closes the kitchen properly and flows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

Summary
