We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resource Team. The HR Administrative Assistant role is critical in executing our branding onboarding experience and providing internal support for the employees and HR process improvement.

Summary
This full-time position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day Human Resource functions.

Essential Job Functions

  • Handles employment application intake, schedule interviews and pre-employment testing appointments and onboarding.
  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assists with new-employee orientations. Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  • Prepares job postings.
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
  • Assists the manager with HR projects and all filings.
  • Assists with Risk Management and HR processes.
  • Assists with reception coverage.

Preferred Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college; or at least one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Courses completed in the area of Business Administration and/or HR preferred.  SHRM, HRCI, or other Human Resources Certification Courses desired.

Computer Skills 
Familiar with MS Windows operating systems and MS Office applications. At minimum, intermediate level skills with Excel and Word. Experience with QuickBooks required.

Language Skills
Ability to read and effectively interpret documents and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and accounting skills.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Dishwasher – Turlock


Reports to Kitchen Managers

Classification Nonexempt

Summary/Objective

The dishwasher washes and cleans tableware, pots, pans and any and all cooking equipment while keeping the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Essential Job Function

  • Load, run, and unload dish machine
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • Keep dish room clean and organized
  • Assist kitchen when needed
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
  • Bag and haul dish room, back of house (BOH) and front of house (FOH) trash to dumpster at designed times
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required

Line Cook – Turlock


Reports to Kitchen Managers

Summary/Objective

The Dust Bowl line cook will be part of a winning team!  You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups, and other hot food products, as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking; perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation, including plating and garnishing of cooked items, and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

Essential Job Functions

Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Portions food products prior to cooking per standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Prepares item for broiling, grilling, frying, sauté or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
  • Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products safely and properly.
  • Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed and maintain productivity at all times.
  • Closes the kitchen properly and flows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Manager-on-Duty.
